Gorgeous original Gunnie Sax long prairie dress. A personal posession of mine, it can be assuredly dated to the early 1970's and worn once. Perfect condition. Cream colored with dramatic painted-look flowers and butterflies in muted tones of purple, orange, green, and rose. Prarie style lace-up bodice, cinched waist with long tie-in-back belt, sheer long sleevesand full length back zipper. Lace adorns this beautiful poly/cotton blend dress at the waist, the bodice, sleeves, cuffs, and flounce. A true 70's find!
1970's Gunnie Sax long prairie dress
Sizing is different now than in the 70's. It is labeled size 13, but is probably closer to today's size 7. The waist measurement is approximately 29" Under arm bust measures approximately 38". Length measurements from neck in back (top of zipper to waist) is 17", and from waist to floor is 47", for an approximate total lenth of 53".
