Our Story

I am Linda Burnett, the owner of vintage, etc. in Mechanicsburg, PA. I have collected all my life. I began collecting buttons and won ribbons at the National Button Society as a child. I also collected beaded bags, postcards, silver souvenir spoons, stamps, coins, and more. I continued to add collections of silver jewelry, salt and pepper shakers, vintage toys, hankies, depression glass, thimbles, Pyrex ware, cookbooks and so much more. Now that I am getting older, I realize the need to pass this great stuff onto others. So, I opened Vintage, Etc.
I live in the Mechanicsburg area with my husband, Jim, a retired Navy officer who works at the Navy Base and my son, David, 24, who has autism and is a great help at the shop. He loves working at the shop and sets everything up every day, including lights, my computer, the cash register, etc. He unlocks the doors, puts out open signs and our open flag, and does anything else to help. He is so amazing. When you come into the shop, feel free to talk to David. He won’t say a lot back, but he understands what you say, and he will give you a big smile. I have four other grown children and six grandchildren…so far! “Free time” is mostly spent adding new inventory into the shop and researching various areas of vintage and antiques to add to my knowledge.
We are friendly and welcoming and look forward to meeting you.
